For Lori- Arizona Summer Update

It's hot. That's all.

Just kidding. I have not blogged for 3 months and theres some updates I guess. This Tucsonan spent 50% of those 3 months sitting on a couch because I was on a non-weight bearing status for the first 6 weeks after my ACL reconstruction/meniscus repair/femoral condile micro-fracture surgery. Some interesting happenings in pictures.
Here I'm pretty high on medication but everyone loves me and came and visited and helped take care of me.

My class pet Spikes also kept us company and provided some entertainment to the bored and home confined.

This is the giant black brace that makes your leg quite sweaty when worn in June in Tucson.

I slept in the brace and wore it pretty much all the time. When out of the brace my leg was swoll, but not in the buff gym rat kind of way.

There are a few benefits to not walking, shopping carts. I would take several trips to stores just to get out of the house. FYI, Target carts were the worst. My favorite stores to ride in were Sportsman's Warehouse and Home Depot.

I had lots of little visitors at different times. They are cute but it was kind of a bummer because I couldn't get off the couch to play with them.

I proud moment in the recovery process was when I could bend my knee past 90 degrees. Now I have all my flexion and extension back which is saying something because I have some nice joint hypermobility.

I also just spent a good portion hanging out on couches spying out the window hoping for something exciting to happen. It never really did.

In the second 6 weeks I did quite a bit. That will come a little later though.
